New Delhi to host Conference on ‘HIV/AIDS Research’ from Jan 19 to 21

A National Conference on ‘HIV/AIDS Research‘ is being organized by The National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) in association with UNAIDS. This is a two-day conference which is to be held at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi from January 19 to 21.

The main aim of the event is to exchange the knowledge of the researchers, program managers and policy makers within themselves, in order to work more effectively & identify, plan/design and implement appropriate strategies for the effective avoidance and control of HIV epidemic in India.

The National Conference on HIV/AIDS Research has been conceived with the purpose of providing facts for program planning and policy formulation as well as to serve as a national platform for exchange of views, ideas and learning for the researchers, program managers and policy makers in India. With the national program, the Conference has plans to integrate and link preventive and therapeutic research on HIV /AIDS. The subject of Conference is “Towards Evidence-Policy linkages in HIV/AIDS Research in India.”

A motivating and interactive technical program has also been developed for the conference. Four thematic sessions will be there, namely, Basic Sciences, Clinical & Biomedical, Socio-behavioral and Evaluation Studies. Each & every session will include a Panel Discussion to select suggestions for the National Program from the presentations’ conclusion.
