Lumbar Muscle Strain

It is the most common cause of back pain. You may or may not remember the initial event that triggered your muscle spasm, but most episodes of back pain from muscle strains resolve completely within some weeks.

Discogenic Back Pain

This is a common cause of low back pain which is the result of damage to the intervertabral disc, but without disc herniation. Diagnosis of discogenic back pain may require the use of a discogram.

Ruptured Disc

It is also called as a herniated disc. It is another common cause of back pain. How to treat the back pain from a herniated disc depends on the particular situation and individual.

Lumbar Spine Arthritis

Arthritis most commonly affects joints like the fingers and knees. But, arthritis can affect any joint in the body, including the small joints of the spine. It can cause back pain with movement.

Spinal Stenosis

This causes back pain in the aging population. The spinal canal can become constricted, due in part to arthritis and other conditions. Back pain can be the result, if the spinal canal becomes too tight.
